Overview
Bram Fischer International Airport is a key gateway to the Free State, a land-locked province. The airport was opened in November 1961 and the runways were completed before the terminal buildings so that the South African Airforce could make use of them. Previously called the Bloemfontein International Airport, the airport was renamed by President Jacob Zuma in December 2012.
